about

piece meals was created to bring families back to the dinner table through a healthier, family-style format built around locally sourced, modular components. it sits somewhere between cooking and pushing a button: convenient enough to make dinner easy, but flexible enough to let everyone build a plate their own way.
the idea came to me last year when my twin niece and nephew were born. as the self-appointed “director of family catering,” i started sourcing large-format meals from a rotating cast of restaurants and quickly saw how difficult cooking and meal prep had become for busy families. at the same time, relying on takeout and delivery every night felt expensive, wasteful, and unsustainable. there had to be a better way.
i was fortunate to meet chefs Yuta Tsunoda and Yuko Kajino of M Café, pioneers of macrobiotic food in los angeles for over 20 years. together, we are sourcing high-quality produce from local farmers markets, along with seafood, poultry, and meat raised without hormones or antibiotics.
our focus is simple: wholesome, plant-forward meals that strike the right balance between convenience, comfort, and nutrition.
